First Int'l Buddhist Cultural Festival opens

The First International Buddhist Cultural Festival kicked off at Miyin
Temple on Weishan Mountain in Hunan's Ningxiang County on Sept. 20.
Nearly 7,000 people of Buddhist and industrial and commercial circles
from Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other countries and
regions participated in this Buddhist pageant. Chinese Buddhist
Association Chairman Master Shi Yicheng and eminent monks from Hong Kong
and other regions also attended the festival on invitation to jointly
discuss about Buddhism.
