Mobula, a close relative of shark, showed up in Shanghai

The preservation hall of Shanghai Science and Technology Museum welcomed
on Sept. 6 a newcomer, a big fish academically called mobula. It is 3.5
meters long, 4.2 meters at the widest part and weighs one ton. According
to experts, mobula is a close relative of shark. It is usually hard for
fishermen to see such type of fish as it lives in deep ocean all the year
around. The chance to capture a gigantic mobula can even be regarded as
once in a blue moon. Success of such capture should be attributed to the
typhoon Matsa.
