Chinanews, Jinan, Sept. 29 (By Ruan Yulin) - Chen Guowei, deputy director
of the Research Office of the State-owned Assets Supervision and
Administration Commission, during his attendance on September 29th at the
"2005 nationwide corporate culture (Shandong Unicom) and strategic
discussion meeting" said to reporters that in recent years, various types
of Chinese companies, including state owned enterprises, generally lack
corporate culture and therefore need "tutoring".
China Enterprise Confederation vice chairman Feng Bing believes that the
21st century is not only the century for economic and military
competition, it is also the century of cultural competition. Cultural
factors and cultural resources will show their unique capabilities in
market competition. Corporate spirit will have deep impact on a company's
development. This fact will impress upon more and more companies to
appreciate the urgency and importance of establishing corporate culture.
Establishing a corporate culture with Chinese characteristics has become
an urgent task facing Chinese enterprises.
Feng also mentioned that when confronted by the increasingly ferocious
market competition brought about by economic globalization, businesses
must pay high degree of attention to the establishment of corporate
culture before they can win the hearts of their staff so that they are
united and can motivate employees towards positivism and creativity.
With "effectively implementing corporate culture management" as the theme
of "2005 nationwide corporate culture (Shandong Unicom) and strategic
discussion meeting", China Enterprise Confederation and China Enterprise
Directors Association combine with six higher educational institutions of
Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University, Nanjing
University, Zhejiang University and Fudan University to sponsor this
meeting.
